Kennett Collaborative seeks a Communications Coordinator to create content for social media, email, and other digital marketing materials. This integral role will be responsible for crafting engaging messages, images, and videos to promote Kennett Collaborative’s placemaking events and programs. The Communications Coordinator will collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure consistent and impactful messaging, enhance community engagement, and drive support for our mission.

Position Type: Part-time
Salary: $25 per hour; approximately 20 hours per week (hours may vary)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Social Media: Plan and implement strategic social media posts across various platforms in collaboration with staff and volunteers, maintaining a consistent brand voice and tone while highlighting key organizational happenings.
- Weekly Newsletter: Combine social media and user-submitted content into weekly newsletters, featuring updates on programs, events, and exciting opportunities in the community.
- Kennett Profiles: Write occasional in-depth profiles or featured articles about local merchants, organizations, and community members.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor the effectiveness of communications strategies through analytics and metrics, using insights to refine future communication efforts.
- Customer Service: Promptly and professionally respond to general email inquiries and social media comments or direct messages.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience crafting engaging content for digital platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media tools and platforms, with the ability to schedule, monitor, and analyze performance.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Passion for Kennett Square and Kennett Collaborative’s mission.
- Strong preference for candidates who are fluent in English and Spanish.
