UPDATE: After close consultation with local emergency services and careful monitoring of the forecast, we have made the difficult decision to cancel The Mushroom Parade tonight due to unsafe weather conditions. The safety of our community, participants, and visitors is our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

The Mushroom Parade is back! To kick off the 40th Anniversary of the Mushroom Festival, Kennett Collaborative hosts the Mushroom Parade with community groups, schools, families, local businesses, and mushroom lovers of all kinds.

The parade will feature whimsical floats, mushroom-themed costumes, and local performance groups, showcasing the wonderful creativity and community spirit that only Kennett Square can bring.

Kicking off at 6 pm on Thursday, September 4, 2025, the parade route will begin on South Broad Street & Cypress Street, then turn west on to State Street through the historic heart of Kennett Square, ending at West State Street & Meredith Streets.

Visitors coming to experience the Mushroom Parade are encouraged to make the most of the weekend in the beautiful Brandywine Valley. Start Thursday evening with the parade, then spend Friday exploring world-famous Longwood Gardens and Kennett’s unique shops and restaurants. On Saturday and Sunday, the streets come alive with the Mushroom Festival—featuring culinary events, mushroom displays, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities.
