Christmas in Kennett

A large central town Christmas tree as well as beautifully designed planters and more make Kennett Square a festive and fun place to shop and dine over the holidays.

Perhaps more than at any other time of year, at the holidays it’s the details that make all the difference. Kennett Collaborative’s winter placemaking initiative, Christmas in Kennett, fills in the details, both large and small, that make Kennett Square as bright and vibrant as possible for residents and visitors.

From the enormous and beautifully decorated central town Christmas tree that Kennett Collaborative gifts to the town each year to lighted garlands on all the lampposts, festive planters overflowing with greens and seasonal plantings, lighted garland and smaller trees—one with handmade ornaments to honor loved ones—and more, Christmas in Kennett sets the scene for holidays in Kennett Square.

As part of Christmas in Kennett, Longwood Gardens partners with Kennett Collaborative to offer a shuttle between downtown Kennett Square and the gardens and hangs festive banners throughout town.
