There’s no better time to celebrate your local farmers, makers, and growers than National Farmers Market Week.

Join us this Friday, August 8th (and every Friday) from 3:00 to 6:00 PM to support small businesses, shop fresh and local, and enjoy being part of a community that’s growing healthy together.

The Kennett Square Farmers Market (KSQ Farmers Market), a program of Kennett Collaborative, was founded in 2000 and has been serving the community year-round ever since. Known for its high-quality, in-season produce, the market also offers a wide variety of meats, cheeses, mushrooms, fresh-baked breads and pastries, honey, nut butters, pickles, jams and preserves, local wine and mead, coffee and teas, desserts, pet treats, natural home and skincare products, and beautiful flower bouquets from local growers.

For those short on time but big on good food, the market also features an assortment of made-from-scratch prepared foods—easy meals you can heat and enjoy at home. You’ll even find services like WasteWell’s convenient composting, helping customers live more sustainably.

Ros Fenton, Kennett Collaborative’s Community Programs Manager, shares, “The KSQ Farmers Market is more than just a place to check off your grocery list — it’s where community and connection thrive.” The vendor lineup changes week to week—some attend every Friday, while others are on an every-other-week or monthly schedule. Ros adds, “As you shop regularly, you get familiar with your favorite producers’ schedules and the natural rhythm of what’s in season, but the best way to keep up with who and what will be at market each Friday is to subscribe to our weekly ‘What’s Fresh’ newsletter at ksqfarmersmarket.com.”

Want to Get Involved?
Love the market and have a little time to spare? We’re looking for volunteers to serve as Market Greeters or help with the Breakdown Crew. Sign up online or stop by the Kennett Collaborative Info Tent to learn more.

Market Shopping Tips:

  • Preorder from vendors when available to guarantee availability.

  • Bring cash — not all vendors accept cards, and transaction fees impact small businesses.

  • FMNP checks are accepted by participating produce vendors.

  • Bring reusable bags and a cooler or insulated bag to keep items fresh.

  • Use red wagons or black baskets while you shop — just return them to the Info Tent afterward.

  • Donations for the KACS Food Cupboard are accepted at every market — look for the green bins.

Market Manners for Dogs:
Well-behaved dogs on short, non-retractable leashes are welcome. Please make sure your dog is calm around people and other dogs. If your pet shows signs of stress or discomfort, kindly step outside the market area.

Rain or Shine:
KSQ Farmers Market is committed to being a rain or shine market. For updates due to weather, check our social media or subscribe to our email alerts.
