Ring in the New Year with one of Kennett Square’s most iconic traditions – Midnight in the Square, a beloved community celebration centered around the famous Sparkling Mushroom.

This year’s lineup is packed with incredible entertainment, including live bands, stage performances, lasers, and a photo booth—all starting at 7 PM.

Pro Tip – Families who want to put kids to bed before midnight, don’t miss the Early Raise—around 8:50 PM, the giant Mushroom will be lifted 80 feet into the air (weather permitting), offering a magical moment for kids and anyone young at heart.

The fun continues with the Mushroom Drop Stress Ball Raffle around 10:15 PM. Stress balls are $10 each and can be purchased via Venmo @kennettsquaremerchants, at The Mushroom Cap (114 W. State Street), or onsite before 10 PM. There will be 3 winners selected each winning $1,700 value!

Just before midnight, two winners will be pulled for the annual raffle—each basket valued at $3,200 + in gifts and gift cards from favorite KSQ businesses. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10.

Finally, at 11:59 PM, the countdown begins and the Mushroom drops to welcome 2026 with a burst of community joy.

Admission is a non-perishable food donation for Kennett Area Community Service—an easy way to give back while celebrating together. Festivities won’t end until 1:00 am this year with the live band Syde Two closing out the night!
