With the KSQ Farmers Market returning to its weekly schedule starting Friday, May 1, Liam Miller of Full Table Farm couldn’t be more excited. For him, the market isn’t just about sales, it’s about the people. Liam looks forward to the conversations, the familiar faces, and the sense of community. It’s where all the work comes full circle—produce harvested just a day before, now in the hands of the people he grows it for.
“We have so many regular customers, and they are what really make the market,” he says. “Each year our sales have grown. It’s a well-run market, and there’s a real sense of connection.”
With over a decades worth of farming experience Liam made the decision to look for farmland. Liam’s criteria was straightforward: good agricultural soil. He searched throughout the region within reach of Philadelphia before landing on 35 acres in Kennett Square. In a leap of faith, they put in an offer before ever really experiencing the town.
Looking back, Liam admits he got lucky. He came for the soil, but found something deeper: a strong sense of community and a place that quickly felt like home.
“It was such a relief once we got here and really experienced Kennett,” he says. “It’s been a great town to be in.”

Liam enjoys connecting with Farmers Market regulars
Liam and his partner, Tim settled on the property, now known as Full Table Farm in April 2020. The farm sits surrounded by preserved farmland. Liam decided to place the property into an agricultural easement, ensuring it will remain farmland for generations to come. What was once a dairy and horse farm is now a full vegetable operation, with four acres in active production and a clear plan guiding every inch.
“We have a system—we have a plan,” Liam explains. “Every bed on this farm has a full-season plan.”
That level of planning and organization shows up in the quality of Full Table Farm’s produce. From salad greens and arugula, to broccoli and ultra-sweet Mokum carrots, the farm focuses on freshness and flavor above all else. Produce is harvested just one day before being sold, washed, carefully packed, and brought directly to the market.

“The biggest difference in quality comes from harvest and wash pack,” Liam says. “We harvest at the right time of day, use knives instead of quick mechanical harvesters, take time to dry greens properly, and handle everything with care.”
This hands-on approach extends to pest management as well. The farm relies heavily on insect netting to protect crops, minimizing the need for sprays and ensuring clean, beautiful produce. Hoop houses are in place for crops like tomatoes, and the operation continues to expand thoughtfully each year.

Liam has been farming on and off for over 13 years, with time spent in culinary school and professional kitchens along the way. He’s always enjoyed cooking for the same reason he’s drawn to farming: it’s hands-on work where you can see and feel what you’re creating. “I like being outside, working hard, moving fast—but also seeing what you’re producing and how it ends up on people’s tables,” he says.
Since joining the KSQ Farmers Market in 2023, Full Table Farm has steadily built a loyal following. Now in its third season, the farm is launching its first CSA, something Liam has been working toward for years. He previously ran a CSA on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and waited until now to introduce one locally, ensuring the farm could consistently deliver the variety and quality he had in mind.
“I wanted to make sure we could offer a wide variety of really high-quality products,” he says. “This is the best way to connect directly with our customers.”
CSA pickups will be available at the Friday market and at the farm on Tuesdays from 3:30–5:30 PM, with an option to linger, connect, and enjoy the space. A play structure is in the works for families, allowing the farm to serve as a gathering place—not just a pickup point. Delivery is also available within a 15-minute radius, making access as convenient as possible.

Beyond the CSA, Full Table Farm continues to grow its presence locally. Their produce is featured in area restaurants like Talula’s Table and Sweet Amelia’s. A self-serve farmstand will open on Memorial Day weekend, offering fresh goods every Sunday. A spring plant sale (May 2 & 3) invites home gardeners to get started with healthy, well-grown seedlings, with knowledgeable staff on hand to help.
Behind the scenes, the team is growing too. What started as a small operation now includes a farm manager, several full-time staff, part-time help, and a work-share participant—each contributing to the farm’s steady expansion.
At its core, Full Table Farm is about more than just food. It’s about stewardship, community, and building something that lasts. Liam’s connection to the natural world runs deep—he grew up outside Washington, D.C., his Mother a landscape architect and Father working in forestry. That early exposure to the natural world shaped his interest in farming.
Liam’s care shows up in the details: the crispness of a salad mix, the sweetness of a carrot, and the satisfaction of produce harvested at its peak and shared directly with the community. Each Monday, Liam donates the remainder of the fresh produce to Kennett Area Community Service (KACS)—helping ensure fresh food reaches as many people as possible.
From thoughtful planning to careful harvesting, Full Table Farm is growing with purpose. Be sure to say hi to Liam at the KSQ Farmers Market, sign up for Full Table Farm’s CSA, or stop by the farm stand located at 336 W Street Rd, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
