A new boutique Pilates studio has opened its doors at Kennett Pointe (near Hangry Bear Creamery)—and it’s offering much more than just classes. Studio 22, founded by Kathleen Fisher, Bertha Turnbull, and Cathy Pizzini, is a thoughtfully curated space where movement meets wellness. Built on a shared belief in mindful movement, meaningful connection, and whole-body self-care, the studio is a reflection of its founders’ journey. Originally crossing paths as teacher, manager, and client, the trio’s relationship evolved into a collaborative partnership—creating a welcoming space dedicated to helping people feel strong, centered, and supported.
Of course, you’ll find Signature Pilates classes for all levels—from foundational “Newbie” classes that focus on spinal mechanics to more advanced offerings like “Align,” “Signature22,” “Tempo,” and the TRX-based “Defy.” They also offer private sessions tailored to individual needs. Studio 22 emphasizes a progression-based class structure, helping clients build strength, balance, and confidence at their own pace. Whether you’re new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, there’s something for every body.
“I walked in carrying tension I didn’t even realize I had—and walked out carrying strength. This class didn’t just stretch my body—it reset my whole system.” – Alex Rush, Communications Coorindator, Kennett Collaborative

Traditional steam sauna in the Contrast Therapy Room
Studio 22 is more than a Pilates studio. They offer Contrast Therapy, featuring a 160°F steam sauna and a cold plunge set between 46–50°F. It’s designed to reduce inflammation, boost circulation, and improve sleep and mood. Many clients report some of their best sleep after a session.

Wellness Room where facials are offered
Customized facials by Cathy use Aveda products, which are 99% plant-derived. She begins each session with a thorough skin analysis to offer deeply personalized care. Treatments are available in 60- or 90-minute sessions, including back and body options.
Looking for the perfect girls’ day? Pair a class with customized facials, contrast therapy, or both. It’s low-impact, suitable for all fitness levels, and leaves you feeling completely refreshed. Studio 22 is equipped with Balanced Body Pilates equipment, all made in the USA and designed to support every body—whether you’re just starting out or returning to movement after a break. The team is committed to making each client feel welcome and cared for. Memberships are flexible, with 4-, 8-, 12-, and 20-class packs available. Members can also ask about discounts on additional wellness services. Contrast therapy can be booked on the hour, and convenient on-site parking makes getting there stress-free.
Where did the name come from?
Kathleen Fisher shared that the trio brainstormed several names, but nothing stuck—until the number 22 stood out. As an angel number, 22 represents alignment, balance, and the courage to take risks in pursuit of something greater—a perfect reflection of their journey and mission.
What does the logo symbolize? The wave in the Studio 22 logo symbolizes the flow of movement, while the sun represents the warmth of the sauna. Together, they capture the studio’s vision: alignment, balance, and the courage to follow your own path.
Whether you’re a Pilates pro or brand new to wellness, Studio 22 is your go-to destination in Kennett Square for fitness, self-care, and community.
