Verde Plant Based Cafe is the newest restaurant concept from the creative team at Mary Pat’s Provisions located in The Market at Liberty Place. The Market is the home to several restaurants and is located on State Street in the heart of Kennett Square. The new owners, Tim and Kathy (business partners), realized there was a lack of options for clean, healthy, plant-based eating in and around Kennett Square. On April 1st, Verde will open its doors to Kennett and the surrounding communities to fill this void and provide delicious and healthy food to all of its customers.

Verde Plant Based Cafe will open as a fast, casual restaurant that specializes in creating health-packed, high-quality, delicious superfood bowls.  Customers will have the option to choose from a pre-set menu offering 9 signature bowls or build their own bowl by choosing a base, optional protein, toppings, and dressings. Verde will also offer 5 soups, freshly baked bread (in-house), and specialty items located in their retail case. What you will NOT see at Verde is the use of GMOs (genetically modified organisms), harmful seed oils, or novelty processed foods masquerading as meat substitutes. Yuck!  Just wholesome, real ingredients are simply prepared with love and nutritious intent. This is essential when it comes to clean eating, and Kathy assures us that “They will not be missed because we are committed to providing delicious and decadent flavors in every element of each bowl. Those ingredients are not necessary to achieve that.”

When the doors open, Verde promises to satisfy the vegan, vegetarian and omnivore looking to power up before their next meeting, appointment, event or workout.
